Cliché, I know. But the benefits of being an Alpha Chi Omega extend far beyond what one can see on the surface. When you receive your bid you gain an instant support network of people who stand by you in all your endeavors, provide you with constant reminders of your strengths, and push you to be the best version of yourself everyday. But what about the little things that happen daily that makes membership even more worth it?

10 Reasons Why I’m Missing My Real Home (Alpha Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega)

1. The Alpha Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, DePauw University– Our chapter proudly brings women together from not only all over the nation, but from all over the world. Smack dab in the middle of what I like to call Corn Country, Indiana is the small town of Greencastle, which graciously welcomes (or more likely tolerates) the incessant shenanigans that ensue once the DePauw Students return to campus each fall. On the quaint campus of DePauw University, tucked away on the corner of Seminary and Locust Street lies the place that, this fall, 103 women will proudly call home. Decked out with a couple flat screen TVs, comfy green couches, and our own personal cookie oven– who wouldn’t be overjoyed to call 403 E. Seminary Street home? These material items are nice, but it isn’t the reason we take pride in our house, we take pride in the history and traditions that it represents and is displayed on its walls within. As the Alpha chapter we see our home as the birthplace of the amazing sisterhood that thousands across the nation belong to.
